Useful phrases for conversation in English (part 1)

I když tyto fráze jsou zaměřeny na procvičení komunikace hlavně ve dvojicích, projděte si je nejprve sami a zkuste je použít v některých příkladech. Poté, co se s nimi seznámíte, bude pro vás jednodušší je použít v konkrétních situacích.

1 Pokud se s někým potřebujeme domluvit na náplni společně stráveného, je užitečné umět navrhnout a odůvodnit námi zvolené návrhy.

Task1: It is summer. Your uncle has asked you and your friend to look after his 8-year-old son, John, this Saturday. You and your speaking partner are going to talk together about ideas of where to go, and decide where you will take Tom and what you will do with him. Use some of these phrases for making suggestions, agreeing, disagreeing.

Phrases for making suggestions

Well, why don´t we just go to …?

Task 2: Imagine that you are going out with a friend in the evening. You both have to decide which type of entertainment you are going to see: musical, stage comedy, romantic comedy, silent movie, horror movie. Use some phrases below.

I don´t find silent movies very amusing.

To be honest, silent movies don´t make me laugh.

2 V některých situacích musíme vyjádřit svůj názor a dát najevo, že s něčím souhlasíme, nebo naopak nesouhlasíme.
