The Legislative Power of the Czech Republic

The Czech Republic has the bicameral Parliament that performs legislative power in accordance with the Constitution of the Czech Republic. The Parliament is formed by the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate.

The Chamber of Deputies has 200 members, who are elected for a term of four years. The Senate has 81 Senators, who are elected for a six-year-term, while one third of Senators is elected every two years. Each Chamber plays its role in turning bills into Acts.
